I am Dr. Simone Rofena, an Italian gynaecologist in London.

I graduated in Medicine and Surgery and specialised in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Vita e Salute San Raffaele University in Milan, one of the most advanced scientific research institutions in the world. My entire professional life has been dedicated to the study and care of women's health at all stages of life, from menstrual irregularities and cycle disorders, to couple infertility and menopause. Since 2013, I have been living and working in London as a specialist in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Infertility. I am the Medical Director of the Zita West Clinic, one of the top clinics in the UK for treating couple infertility. In recognition of my professional dedication to the Italian community in the UK, I was awarded in 2021 the prestigious membership to the Italian Society of Medicine in Great Britain. More recently I have developed an interest for aesthetic medicine, particularly the use of botox for both cosmetic and medical indications.

My aim is to provide an excellent level of care that can meet all my patients' therapeutic needs, some of which are sadly not taken into proper consideration and are not adequately treated by the healthcare system.

After a succession of miscarriages, each of which was unexplained after we underwent various tests, we came across Dr Simone via an Instagram live event. We favoured their approach on the IVF itself (as opposed to 'natural' IVF etc) as well as their holistic view on preparing the body of both parents.
We both committed to an anti-inflammatory diet (and gave up alcohol, nicotine and caffeine), we underwent 'anti-killer cell' treatment (intralipids), and started our first IVF cycle. Additionally, we opted for a chromosome review of our blastocysts on Day 5 post collection. The cycle was successful and we are expecting our first child currently.
We found Dr Simone a very straightforward Doctor - somewhat of a rarity in our experience unfortunately - and have really benefited from his experience and support along the way. We highly recommend  Dr Simone.

We had 6 failed IVF's at two different clinics and were told to look for an egg donor.
Luckily we went to Dr Rofena and before we even left the clinic we knew we will be back.
We are forever grateful to Dr Rofena  for seeing us through what was for us a last IVF. We are happy parents to a 6 months old baby girl and will be back for baby number two.
